Learning Spanish in Barcelona
Barcelona is full of Spanish language schools where you can learn
Spanish and/or Catalan. Most of them offer intensive courses that
run during the day; from one week or for as many weeks as you require.
If you're working in Spain, then you will need to find an evening
course to learn Castellano (Spanish). There are fewer options
here but I found four that all seem suitable (the four language
schools listed below also offer daytime intensive classes).
All these evening courses run over two evenings a week, and range
between 3-6 hours a week. The prices are approximately €330-€400
for 10-12 weeks of lessons - Diloga is the best value for money.
Spanish Language Schools in Barcelona
Diloga is a great little school in the centre of Gracia.
I attended classes here over several months, the quality of teaching
is good, the teachers don't change very often, the class sizes
are small and it's excellent value for money. Evening classes are
3 hours a week, split over two evenings.

Babylon Idiomas. I have no experience of this school, but
have listed them as they are one of the few to offer evening classes.
Besides giving their students the opportunity to learn Spanish in Spain, Babylon Idiomas also organizes other activities such as salsa and culture classes, movie nights and excursions to for example museums. In this way the students can improve their language skills and enjoy the beautiful city of Barcelona at the same time.

International House, I attended the intercambio club that
is held at International House on Friday evenings and found it a good way to practise
my Spanish. I'm now (May 2011) taking a course at International House in the evenings two days a week. They are very professional, and the course is going well.

There are courses giving six hours per week (three hours per day).
You have the choice of Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday.
The teachers tended to get changed at the
end of every term here.
The following is a list of other language schools in Barcelona (of which there are many). I have no experience of these schools but list them to give more choice.
Estudio Hispanico
Estudio Hispanico sends international students from around the world on Spanish language courses in Spain! We are based in Barcelona and offer Spanish language courses in major cities and popular locations throughout Spain. www.estudiohispanico.com

Learn Spanish Online
Not everyone can come to Barcelona to learn Spanish, and even if you are planning to visit or live in Barcelona is good to start your Spanish lessons before you arrive.
You can learn Spanish online at succeed-at-spanish.com, and they offer a basic Spanish course which is great for getting started. As all classes in Barcelona are solely in Spanish, and many of the teachers don't speak English, it will be a great help if you know the basics before you arrive.

Intensive Spanish Language Courses
Of all the intensive language courses listed here, I only have feedback on Don Quijote. I know of several students who have studied at the Don Quijote school in Barcelona all of whom were very happy with their courses.
Many people come to Barcelona just to take a Spanish language course abroad, where the teachers are native Spanish speakers and you can enjoy the city, its nightlife and restaurants. Many of these schools will also help you find accommodation and include extra curriculum activities aimed at improving your language skills and building relations with your classmates.
The Escola Oficial d'Idiomes Barcelona was recommended to me, but they don't do evening classes.
