Barcelona Bed & Breakfast
Many people have asked me to recommend good Barcelona Bed and Breakfast accommodation, so I’ve put together the following list of B&Bs. I don’t have any experience of the following B&Bs in Barcelona, but these guest houses stood out from my searches.
Many stays advertised as bed & breakfast are actually self-catering apartments and don’t prepare your breakfast. Two of the guesthouses listed below do not offer a breakfast, but I’ve stated which do and which don’t.
If you prefer to stay in a swanky hotel, here are my favourite 5 star hotels in Barcelona.
La Casa Gran
La Casa Gran is a Barcelona bed and breakfast accommodation on Avinguda Diagonal in the Eixample district. The flat is situated within a beautiful historic building called Las Cases Almirall. The owners are committed to a sustainable business model and have now been in business for 10 years. Impressively, they have achieved the Biosphere Certified environmental label.
There are four bedrooms, which are spacious and all have private bathrooms. Three of the rooms have private balconies. Every room has AC, eco-toiletries and a daily cleaning. Breakfast is served with locally sourced produce and homemade dishes. There is also a large communal terrace.

Casa Filomena
Casa Filomena is a private bed & breakfast located in the Sarrià neighbourhood of Barcelona. There are two bedrooms available with common areas of a kitchen, sitting room and small garden. The whole house can also be booked. The guesthouse owner is passionate about food and offers guests not only breakfast, but lunch and dinner too (with a reservation); there are vegan, vegetarian and celiac-friendly options. Locally sourced and organic produce are used whenever possible and the business is dedicated to sustainable tourism.

Casa Mathilda
Casa Mathilda calls itself a boutique hotel, but with only three bedrooms, a daily breakfast and such a personal touch I think it qualifies to be here as a Barcelona bed and breakfast. It’s located in Carrer Roger de Llúria, Eixample Dreta and close to Avinguda Diagonal, so very central. All rooms have an ensuite bathroom, air conditioning, mini-bar, safe and a TV.
Casa Mathilda is focused on being sustainable. This is reflected in their policy of using local products, eco-toiletries, not using individual packaging or single use plastics, as well as recycling. The decor has a modern and simplistic design; natural fibres are used in the fabrics, such as the towels, sheets and bathrobes, as well as the mattresses.
* Breakfast is served with fresh produce, locally made bread, seasonal fruit and a selection of cheese, ham, yogurt, cereals and omelets.

Ally’s Guest House
Ally’s Guest House is a short walk from Passeig de Gracia and offers five bright rooms with views over Barcelona. There is a spacious living room and a full continental breakfast is served.

Blanc Guest House
Blanc Guest House is located just off Avinguda Diagonal in the Galvany area of Sant Gervasi. Centrally located and with 11 rooms, the guest house offers comfortable accommodation, breakfast, computers as well as wi-fi, a communal terrace and lounge, as well as a daily clean of your room. Some rooms have en-suite bathrooms and some share a communal bathroom. All rooms have air conditioning, heating and a TV.

Casa Nova Bed and Breakfast
In the Barcelona district of Eixample you will find Casa Nova Guest House. This apartment has been specially designed to offer tranquil and cozy spaces.
The first impression is how well-located it is. That is to say right next to one of the streets that crosses the whole city (Avinguda Diagonal) and close to metro stations and bus stops.
*Casa Nova no longer offers a breakfast unfortunately, although there are tea and coffee making facilities in each room.

Casa Maca Guest House
Surrounded by the most significant works of Gaudi, you will find the Casa Maca Guest House. This Barcelona Bed and Breakfast offers guests a clean, comfortable and very well located accommodation.
They supply guides and maps of Barcelona, tourist information and tips for restaurants, bars, shops, bike rental, night life, museums and all about the Barcelona experience.
*Casa Maca no longer offers a breakfast, but you can make tea and coffee.

Can Casadellà Bed and Breakfast
Finally, Can Casadellà is a beautiful country house just outside of Barcelona. This bed and breakfast accommodation offers elegant rooms in a grand house surrounded by gardens, orchards, fields and pines. There are five rooms available and the property has a swimming pool in the grounds. Approximately 25 minutes drive or train ride from Barcelona.
*A homemade buffet breakfast with local produce is available.
